Continuity is not a backup feature

Most businesses would agree that backup matters. Far fewer can answer a harder question: could the business keep operating, and would we know in advance?

Continuity begins with visibility and ownership. That means knowing what runs the business, who controls access, how systems recover and what depends on a single person or vendor.

The practical consequence for leadership: before buying more technology, ask whether the current environment is documented, recoverable and controlled.
